"The Birch Tree Meadow is eight meditations on World War II that were awakened by the documentary film work of Claude Lanzmann. The pieces were created with Korg Delta and Juno synthesizers, alongside samples of traditional Jewish music nearly lost in the war, as well as testimony from Sonderkommando survivor and Eyewitness Auschwitz author Filip Muller. This first volume is focused on life under the endless parade of death at the Birkenau extermination camp. It is music reflecting a struggle to comprehend the unfathomable atrocities of humanity." - James
